South Africa receive power surge for World Cup

Twelve of South Africa’s neighbours are willing to provide electricity to prevent power cuts during the 2010 World Cup.
South Africa’s ability to hold the tournament was called into question after being hit by severe power cuts last year. The shortages led to South Africa having to cut power supplies to their neighbours.
